Get More Comments

Ok, so getting more comments is something that many bands overlook, but it really is important - if you have 1,000,000 plays and 847,038 friends, but only 247 comments...something is wrong. I was checking out the top artists, & one of the top artists from Illinois had a couple million plays, and only like 800 comments. He obviously just gave himself a bunch of plays OR posted his music player everywhere. If people actually liked his music, he'd have more than 800 comments.

Some Bands have thousands, but not a lot of plays or friends, if that is you; then stop reading this and to to the "Get More Plays" and "Get More Friends" pages :)

but if you're one of those guys that has tons of plays, tons of friends, and not very many comments...keep reading.

ok, so obviously you need to talk to people on myspace more - be more personal. Don't make every bulletin and comment you post say "check out my music" - ask people stuff - what their fav cereal is, or fav tv show, and then actually reply to them like a person - NOT with a genereic "cool, thanx 4 checking out my page!" type deal...

If you have a Friend Bot (see "Get More Friends" page) you can comment hundreds of people at one time. Even if ur just saying "sup?" to them - thats a good start and you'll get comments back.

Being a successful musician is more than just increasing ur numbers - you want to build fans. You want people to become attached to you - that is, you the person, NOT you the band...
