Ok, so obviously more friends on myspace allows you to have a larger fan base and reach more people - when u send out a bulletin, do u want it to reach 5,000 people, or 5,000,000 people?

ok, so there are 2 major ways to get frineds - the first is to add loads of people each day. Myspace won't let you add more than 400 people a day. So add 400 people every day. Obviously this will take a rediculous amount of time - but thankfully some really smart program developers have figured this out and there are several programs to choose from that will speed up this process, these programs are called Friend bots; Get a Friend Bot. you can add 400 people in less than an hour, depending on the speed of ur internet conneciton.

Having a friend bot is the best way to build a fan base and it works because you get real people and they give you plays (unlike the second way to get friends) - the program will allow you search for people to add based on location, or you can add people from other musicians pages - like u can add people from The Devil Wears Prada's page if u sound like them, or whatever you want to do.

You will also be abe to send out hundreds of comments and messages this way.

If you use mac, you are kinda screwed, cuz Friend Blaster Pro doesn't work for mac...but O community Suite does;

www.ocommunity.net but this program is 60 dollars AND it ONLY INCLUDES the basic friend adding feature - it would cost 2 or 3 hundred dollars in upgrades to be able to do all that Friend Blaster Pro can do for only 30 dollars...so maybe u should consider getting a cheap pc or something just for promoting? lol

The second way to get friends, is to join a friend train. A friend train is a web site other than myspace, that people use to get more myspace friends - but remember; these people are only looking to boost thier friend count (just like you) they proly won't give you any plays)...here's an example - www.Adderdemon.com - you go here click on people - which brings up thier myspace so u can add them...you get a point for each person you add. On Adderdemon, you cannot get over 500 points in a day or your profile will be suspended, but the more points you have, the more likely YOUR profile will come up when people go there to add people to get more points...but heres a little trick i learned; go to this site at midnight (everybody's points are reset back to zero at midnight) and get about a hundred or so points (i usually do 120 to be safe) - this will give you enough points to be one of the top people for the day - and you're getting an "early" start (even tho u prolly haven't gone to bed yet). Over time i've discovered that on adderdemon getting 120 points just after midnight is just as good as getting 500. i don't know why, but i've experimented with this and it actually works - its usually good for about 80 friend requests that day - remember; that is 80 people requesting you - this does not cut into your 400 people a day limit (except for when u get ur 120 points).

You can also pay to be at the top of the list, then u'll get lots of adds without having to do anything (except pay money). But beware - i did this on Adderdemon.com with one of my bands, and when the time ran out, that band couldn't log in and add people manually anymore - they could only pay for a spot, or not have one at all...which totally sucks...

Also - after a couple weeks you're friends with most of the people on this site except for new people...which means less incoming requests - so remember this b4 paying for a spot.

I recommend Adderdemon.com and its the only site like this that i use anymore. Other sites have dif rules & they pretty much are not as good as Adderdemon...If you hear of Friend Leak, STAY AWAY FROM IT! its a rip off and will only get ur profile suspended @ Adderdemon.
